Online Introduction to Mindful Parenting
Overview
Join us for a 3-week introduction to mindful parenting, led by teacher Nicole Carlson. In these three 1.5 hour online sessions, she will discuss ways that parents can use mindfulness approaches to help them respond wisely to their children's needs, while decreasing their own feelings of overwhelm and stress. This short course is focused on parents of babies and toddlers, but parents with older children are also welcome. All levels of mindfulness practice are welcomed--from beginners to people with regular meditation practices.
About Nicole
Nicole teaches others about the basics of mindfulness through her work as a Community Resilience Method teacher with theTrauma Resource Institute. She is also a Certified Nurse-Midwife who practices at Atlanta Birth Center, and a researcher at Emory University. Nicole is currently working toward certification as a Mindfulness-Based Childbirth Preparation teacher through the Mindful Birthing and Parenting Foundation.

How to have more compassion for your child and yourself
Different mindfulness meditations you can use to decrease stress increase joy in your daily life.
